When you visit the site, our website platform may automatically collect basic technical information such as your browser and device type, pages visited and general location, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

• To run The Battery Camp, including registration, check-in, safety and emergency care.
• To answer your messages and requests.
• To send transactional messages, such as registration confirmations, payment details and camp schedule or weather updates.

Camp registrations must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Camper information provided by a parent or guardian is used only to run the camp. If you believe a child has sent us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

If you opt in to text messages, we use your phone number to send camp updates and news. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

5. Email

If you opt in to email, we may send news, camp announcements and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

• With service providers that help us operate, such as our website, form and email platform (GoCombine). If you pay by Venmo, Venmo's own privacy policy applies to that payment.
• With camp coaches and staff who need it to run the camp safely, such as medical and allergy details.
• When required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of campers, families, staff or others.

7. Photos and video

We use photos or video of campers only if a parent or guardian gives permission at registration. To withdraw permission for future use, contact us.

8. Third-party sites and stores

Our site links to third-party stores and social media sites, such as Athlete's Thread, BreakingT, Passes, Patched, Instagram, TikTok and X. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including running the camp and meeting legal or record-keeping requirements, and then delete it or de-identify it.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no website or online service is completely secure.

11. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing messages, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will respond to requests as required by applicable law.
